BTG Refrigerated

Put chilled food front and centre.

The BTGRF is a freestanding commercial refrigerated food display cabinet designed to keep chilled food visible, organised and ready for service.

Three shelves plus the base create four merchandising levels for sandwiches, salads, desserts, drinks, prepared meals and other chilled food, giving operators room to build a strong refrigerated display around the menu.

Available in solid-front and sliding-front configurations, and in widths from 600mm to 1800mm, BTGRF can be configured around both the space and the way customers are served.

Give the food room to do the talking.

A refrigerated display has two jobs: keep chilled food at the right temperature and make the range easy to see. BTGRF brings both into a freestanding format built for customer-facing foodservice.

More chilled food in view

Four merchandising levels create room for a broad chilled range while keeping products clearly presented to the customer.

Choose how you serve

Solid-front and sliding-front configurations let the cabinet work around staff service or customer access.

Built around the space

A broad choice of cabinet widths makes it easier to match refrigerated display capacity to the available floor area.

Refrigerated food display

Made to keep chilled food on show.

A commercial refrigerated food display cabinet needs to do more than keep products cold. It needs to make the range easy to see, easy to browse and practical to serve from throughout the day.

BTGRF keeps chilled food visible across multiple levels, from individual desserts and drinks through to salads, sandwiches, bakery products and prepared meals.

The freestanding format makes it suited to front-of-house foodservice where refrigeration and merchandising need to work together as part of the customer-facing space.

Service style

Choose the display around how you serve.

Different sites need different levels of customer access. BTGRF is available in two front configurations, while rear glass doors give staff access from behind the cabinet.

Solid front

Designed for staff-served environments where customers view the food from the front and the team accesses the refrigerated display from behind.

Sliding front

Gives customers access from the front while retaining rear access for staff, making it suited to self-service and mixed-service layouts.

Where it works

From the morning rush to the last service.

BTGRF works across cafés, bakeries, delis, convenience retail and hospitality where chilled food needs to stay visible throughout service.

It can be used for café food, bakery products, desserts, drinks, sandwiches, prepared meals and other refrigerated products where presentation matters as much as keeping food cold.

The BTG approach

The cabinet is part of the counter.

BTGRF is not simply somewhere to keep food cold. Its height, glass display area and service configurations are designed around the point where food and customers meet.

Cold stays cold. Food stays in view. Service works around the space.

FAQs – Commercial Refrigerated Food Display Cabinets

What is a refrigerated food display cabinet used for?

A refrigerated food display cabinet holds chilled food at a controlled temperature while keeping products visible for customers. It is commonly used for sandwiches, salads, desserts, drinks, prepared meals and other chilled products in cafés, bakeries, delis and food retail.

What is the best refrigerated display cabinet for a café or bakery?

The right refrigerated display depends on the food range, available space and whether customers or staff need access to the cabinet. A multi-level freestanding display can work well where a broad chilled range needs to stay visible throughout service.

What food can be kept in a refrigerated display cabinet?

Refrigerated food displays can be used for suitable chilled products including sandwiches, salads, desserts, cakes, drinks, dairy products and prepared meals that require refrigerated holding.

What is the difference between a staff-served and self-service refrigerated display?

A staff-served cabinet keeps customer access to the food closed and allows the team to serve from behind. A self-service configuration provides customer access from the front. BTGRF is available in solid-front and sliding-front versions to support both approaches.

What temperature should a commercial refrigerated food display operate at?

The required holding temperature depends on the food and applicable food-safety requirements. BTGRF operates at 3–5°C.

Are refrigerated display cabinets suitable for convenience stores?

Yes. Refrigerated food display cabinets can be used in convenience stores and service stations for chilled prepared food, drinks, desserts and other refrigerated products where visibility and presentation are important.

What size refrigerated food display cabinet do I need?

Cabinet size should be based on available floor space, the amount of food that needs to be displayed and the required service style. BTGRF solid-front models range from 600mm to 1800mm wide, with several sizes also available in the sliding-front configuration.

When is a freestanding refrigerated display the right choice?

A freestanding refrigerated display works well where a substantial chilled range needs to sit directly in the customer-facing foodservice area. It provides more merchandising space than a small countertop cabinet while allowing the display to become part of the wider counter and service layout.
